Activists Say Kenya Finally Tackling Sexual Violence - A suspect in the gang rape of a Kenyan woman known as "Liz" was arrested last week, according to a court official, Reuters reports. The suspect is 18. Those who have campaigned for justice for Liz believe that this is a sign of progress. "There is finally some engagement on tackling this epidemic," Brendan Wynne, a spokesman for the women's rights advocacy group Equality Now, told the Thomson Reuters Foundation. Guinea Delays Vote - The long anticipated presidential elections this Sunday in West Africa’s Guinea has been postponed by at least two weeks due to a fire at the warehouse facility storing the voting materials. An election commission spokesman blamed the fire on a short circuit, but supporters of leading candidate Cellou Dalein Diallo have accused the government of trying to sabotage the election, which has been postponed several times this summer.
