Singer, actress, and all-around sensation Janelle Monáe is set to grace the cast of Pharrell Williams' latest musical endeavor, as reported by Variety. Williams is gathering an impressive ensemble for his upcoming project. This musical delves into his own coming-of-age tale set in the vibrant summer of 1977 in Virginia Beach, drawing inspiration from his nostalgic memories of the Atlantis Apartments, his childhood neighborhood.

“The Age of Pleasure” songbird is amongst a constellation of talent for this project. She will be joining the likes of Kelvin Harrison Jr., Halle Bailey, Oscar winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Oscar nominee Brian Tyree Henry and Missy Elliott in the film. Whew! This is already a must-see!
